Allison Bergman is a director working in film and live theatre. She has helmed over 40 stage productions on both coasts, including many large musicals and world premieres. She recently completed production on two films – a feature length drama and a 20-minute comedy short. Ms. Bergman has worked with stars of stage and screen including Phylicia Rashad, Leslie Uggams, Tamara Tunie, Leslie Odom Jr., Josh Gad, and Paul Provenza. She has been lauded as Outstanding Woman In Theatre in Los Angeles and recognized with a Drama-Logue Critics Award for Directing. She is also a highly sought-after Dramaturg who has helped notable writers and producers develop new scripts and adapt popular movies for Broadway and international production.
Ms. Bergman co-founded the West Coast Musical Theatre Conference and she is the former Artistic Director of Broadway On Sunset. She is a member of Directors Lab West and holds degrees from Carnegie Mellon, Boston University and the LACC Theatre Academy. Her book Acting The Song is widely used in theatre training programs as a textbook and a teacher’s guide. Ms. Bergman was born and raised in Hollywood. Her first time working on a television series was as a child actor on The Bad News Bears. Today she has come full circle, prepped to start directing in that medium.

Marcelle is the author the laugh-out-loud book series Shiksa Guide Books and is Screenwriter and Executive Producer of the short film "Gastropod."
